Itinerary description
Hidden Lake is opposite Island Lake off the Crooked Lake Trail. For me this was a quick side trip between Carr and Penner lakes but there are several other trail heads that work too. Hidden Lake is hidden from Crooked Lake trail by a low ridge. The little used trail to Hidden Lake is hidden by being unsigned and indistinct at the start. You have to know to look for it. Near the end the trail is a stream bed for lake overflow that is easy to navigate when dry. When full of snow melt, you could do a short bushwhack around it that would benefit from long pants. I rate this trail moderate because it takes a little extra effort.
