Itinerary description
Route:
Prohodnoye gorge (hot springs next to AlmaArasan) - Terra field - (Aleshkin bridge - gorge - Dzhusaly-Kezen pass - Tourist peak - Turan peak - Karniz lake - Aleshkin bridge - Prohodnoye gorge - hot springs.
Initially we’re planning just to explore potential routes to Karniznjyj peak. Unfortunately started at least 1.5 late, as my companion overslept ;))).
So decided to start exploring from Tourist, yet climbed on it directly, which isn’t the best idea as saved us just tiny amount of time, but wore out quite.
After a short break moved towards Turan peak, the descend from Tourist to the saddle between tow peaks was excruciating. We met couple of people who were coming up, they started from the space station which is literally next door 5-6 hours ago. They have warned us that the path ahead ain’t going to be the easy one.
Nonetheless we have managed to get to Turan peak in slightly over an hour and after spending 20 minutes decided to descend to Turan - Karniznyj pass. The snow wasn’t stable, it was easy to get your foot in it and miss the moving stones
