Itinerary description
Fun day with perfect weather hiking in Hengill, unfortunately we didn't make it to the top because of the snow conditions. Some fresh snow on top of the older snow made walking up the steep hills difficult. The sun was warm and started to melt the snow in some points.
We tried also to walk the southern trail towards Reykjadalur but again the snow conditions were not great and we were running out of time. Great to explore this area for the first time.
