Monday 21 August '23
After the now consolidated morning routine, departure at 8:00 am due to the delay in preparing the horses. We leave the village of Chokdo and set off, slightly uphill, towards a small side valley, glimpsed the previous day.
We follow it until we reach the top of a beautiful pass, overlooking a very green valley.
We quickly lose altitude until we reach the river that crosses this little piece of paradise and then we return to climb decisively to a new pass located at 4700m above sea level
We go back down until we reach the Shang Phu base camp at 4300m above sea level, our end of the stage.
Washing and then feet soaking in the stream, surrounded by some greedy cows (who tried to steal food from the kitchen) and some cute and stubborn Tibetan goats.
Super rich dinner with mushroom soup, rice, vegetables and finally an incredible cake glazed with pomegranate.
Tonight will be the last night in the tent.
Tenth day of walking: we covered 13km with 900m of positive altitude difference
We are at the penultimate stage, but the adventures are not over
