Itinerary description
Walk along the coastline around West Head out to Badgers Beach, and back along the coastal trail.
Park near Hebe Rd and follow the path down to the beach. Continue west along the rocky coast. Ensure to check the tide times, at high tide the beach may not be passable. Lots of rock pools to explore at low tide. Easy rock hopping for the most part.
Leave the beach and head inland to the coastal track when you can’t continue along the beach. The path up to the track on this trail was just an easy way up when the rocks weren’t passable - don’t necessarily follow it. At low tide you may be able to follow the coast around to Badgers Beach.
Badgers Beach is a great swimming spot - shallow calm water. Walk below the high tide line to avoid disturbing nesting sea birds.
Badgers Beach connects to trails through to Badgers Head and along the coast to Bakers Beach.
