Itinerary description

This trail is the longest one of Vayots Dzor's trails.
It includes Hayeli lake, Andranik fort and Nareh waterfall.
---Hayeli lake ( Հայելի լիճ ) is famous for its resemblance to the globe and that's the reason it attracts a lot of hikers here.
---Andranik fort ( Անդրանիկի բերդ ) is famous not a a fort itself, as only some stones of the forts were preserved, but as a best vista point for Hayeli lake. It's located on the slopes of Parakatar mountain.
---Nareh waterfall ( Նարեի ջրվեժ )is a small waterfall which is "water-rich" during springtime.

Some INFORMATION about this trail:

--- You begin the trail from Artavan village ( Արտավան գյուղ ) and return there again making a big loop.
--- You can skip both Andranik trail and Nareh waterfall on the way , but they are the main reasons of the trail, if you seek for only Hayeli lake view, it's better to hike Andranik fort and return by the same way, it won't be more than 13 km.
--- If the route from lake to Andranik fort is way longer for you and you like to shorter your way, look for "Andranik fort" trail in my trail section, it's shorter but steeper way to the fort.
--- The best season for this trail is MAY, because:
***Beginning from June the vegetation of this area gets dried and it becomes too hot there.
*** From November till the end pf April it can be unreachable due to snow conditions.
--- The length of the trail is 20 km.
