Itinerary description

With an altitude of 2,483 m, and located 3.5 km northeast of Jrarat village in Shirak Province, Mount Harsnakar is one of the highest summits of the Pambak Mountains. Volcanic and volcanic-sedimentary subsurface rocks lie at the core of the mountain. The southwestern slopes are slightly fragmented and steep. Steppe vegetation is common found on the lower parts of the mountain, while alpine meadows are common higher up, where grasses and flowers like primroses, bellflowers and wolf’s bane are common. There is no vegetation at the peak, where the cliffs are bare and subject to weathering by storms. The northeastern slopes are quite steep and are almost totally devoid of vegetation.
