Itinerary description
Wonderful trail, starting at Harpers Ferry’s Visitor Center.
Very difficult trail, crossing the CSX Railroad, passing for the C&O Canal.
Entered at Maryland Heights, passing for the Naval Battery, turning on the Blue Blaze (west), Stone Fort Trail, Breastworks, Stone Fort, 100-Pounder Battery, 30-Pounder Battery, turning on Red Blaze, Overlook Cliff and coming back to the Harpers Ferry Visitor Center.
It took 5 hours in a hurry. Very difficult, but outstanding route.
