Itinerary description
This trail leads through a part of the national park „Hainich“ which has been declared as world natural heritage by the UNESCO for its beech trees. It is a circular trail, going counterclockwise first on the path „Craulaer Kreuz“ and than on to the „Sperbersgrundweg“.
It is easy hiking on clearly marked paths, parking directly at the start of the trail and a small restaurant „bavarian/austrial style hut“ (Hainichbaude) at the parking site.
One remark: due to trees and bad weather it was impossible to see the Wartburg from the viewpoint „Wartburgblick“
