Hajla 2043 m (Top of Kosovo) [en | es]

Para llegar al inicio de esta ruta primero tenemos que sufrir 10 kilómetros de camino de gravilla y piedras en bastante mal estado.
No es necesario tener un 4x4, ya que la mayoría de los coches que suben hasta esta pequeña aldea no lo son, pero si recomiendo que vayas bien despacio y mucha precaución.

Esta bonita aldea no tiene mas de 10 casas y según me cuenta un local solo está habitada en verano ya que en invierno se acumula mucha nieve. Hay un restaurante en donde también te puedes alojar para dormir.

Los primeros casi 2 km seguimos un camino bien sencillo y amplio hasta que llegamos a una zona llana con algunas casas. Parece que si lo reservas también te puedes quedar a dormir aquí. Según me cuentan en estas montañas hay lobos y también unos pocos osos que están muy protegidos. En el camino de subida hasta aquí hemos visto zonas con muchisimas blueberries salvajes. También nos hemos cruzado con un niño que estaba recogiendolas con una herramienta y metiendolas en un cubo.

Estando en este llano donde están las casas, enfrente podemos disfrutar de unas bonitas vistas de la pared de roca de la montaña que vamos a subir.
A partir de aquí seguimos una senda mas estrecha con pendiente un poco mas pronunciada. Llegamos a un collado donde giramos a derecha y empezamos una zona con algo mas de roca que nos deja en el segundo collado en donde ya empieza la cresta cimera.
Lo mas duro ya ha pasado. Caminar por la cresta es sencillo y con unas vistas fantásticas todo el tiempo. Es una cresta larga que poco a poco nos lleva hasta la cima del Hajla.

La bajada la hacemos siguiendo la cresta en lugar de por donde hemos venido. Queremos disfrutar lo máximo de estos bonitos paisajes. El camino tiene algunas marcas rojas pero no está tan bien indicado como por donde hemos subido. En algunos tramos cortos parece que desaparece con lo que prestaremos mas atención a nuestro gps.
Tras un rato por bonitos paisajes llegamos de nuevo a las casas que hemos pasado en la subida. Desde aquí directos hasta la aldea desde donde hemos empezado.

Ruta sencilla y bonita para disfrutar de la naturaleza.

In order to get to the start of this track we need to go through 10 kilometres of a gravel (and stones) road in pretty bad condition.
It is not necessary to have a 4WD car, since most of the cars that get to this little village aren't, but I do recommend driving slowly and very carefully.

This beautiful village doesn't have more than 10 houses and a local I meet tells me that it is inhabited only in summer. In winter there is so much snow. There is a restaurant that also has rooms where you can sleep.

For the first 2 kilometres we follow a wide and easy path until we get to a broad and flat area with a few houses. I believe you can make a reservation here in order to sleep overnight. The local I meet tells me there are wolves in this area as well as a few bears that are well protected by the law.

On our way up here we have seen lots of wild blueberries. We also saw a kid collecting them.
From this flat area we can see the rock wall of the mountain we are going to hike.
From here the path gets a bit more steep and narrow. We get to a first col where we make a right and we start walking in an area a bit rockier until we get to a second col where the ridge starts.
The hardest part is over and from here we have an easy walk on the long ridge until we get to the summit of Hajla.

We decide to go down following the ridge to be able to enjoy this mountain as much as possible. On this side there are not as many red marks as they were on our way up so we keep an eye on our GPS.
After a walk enjoying the beautiful nature we end up in the flat area with the houses that we passed on our way up. From here we go straight to the little village where we started the hike.

Very enjoyable hike with wonderful views.
