Itinerary description
Hike through one of the best wetlands and birding places of Luxemburg (see https://www.birdingplaces.eu/en/birdingplaces/luxembourg/haff-reimech-nature-reserve/) and on the hills with vineyards bordering the nature area. The Haff Réimech is a nature reserve with a visitor center (Biodiversum), observation towers, huts and screens. You can park along the road Bréicherwee, near the Biodiversum. Near the start is a restaurant, as well in Schwebsange, and there is a bar in Wintrange. I saw rest-crested poachards, and a great reed warbler, among other birds. The walk in the nature reserve is easy, but there are some steep climbs between the vineyards, and a steep descent on stairs from the Saint Donatius monument, which is why I marked the difficulty of the hike as 'average'.
From the start you first take a look at the Biodiversum, and then take a path east of the wetlands, through a wooded area near the N10, with several observation towers. You then get to a field road cutting through the area from east to west. You follow this field road along several observation screens to the west side of the area. Along the Kurlerbaach stream you get back into the reserve. You cross the stream and then leave the area passing several fish ponds. A field road takes you through fields to the village Schwebsange. At Schwebsange you walk past the church and walk up the hill into the vineyards. You take several unpaved and paved tracks through the vineyards up the hill into a forest. When you leave the forest you have a great view across the Mosel valley and the Haff Réimech. At the Saint Donatius monument with a Luxemburg flagpole you take the stairs descending into Wintrange. Through the village you walk back to the nature reserve and take another field road east, again with several observation huts at the end of paths on both sides of the road. You then take a path past another observation hut and fish ponds, and a viewpoint to another field road that then takes you back into the reserve. Along the south side of the main lake you walk back to the Biodiversum.

Superbe balade avec de très beaux points de vue. Les villages sont charmants. Je recommande.
