This route is an extracurricular activity with the Yoshida Institute (ヨシダ日本語学院).
The school prepares an extracurricular activity every 3 months and this time we went to the National Museum of Nature and Science (国立科学博物館),
located in Ueno Park.
I have started to record my departure from home to the Takadanobaba train station as a route, with the aim of registering in Wikiloc some areas that I visit daily, such as kansen-en park 甘泉園公園。This park is very beautiful and very relaxing. It has several benches and seating areas and is in front of Yoshida High School. Once I saw this park I went to the takadanobaba station. To Ueno station by train it is only 5-10 minutes.
The National Museum of Nature and Science is incredible. It is a complex with 2 multi-storey buildings and different exposures. There are many rooms with different themes, such as marine life or the evolution of man. In these rooms there are all kinds of objects on display: minerals, fossils, old objects, wax sculptures and (in my opinion, the saddest thing) stuffed animals. The highlight of the museum in my opinion are the dinosaur fossils. It is the most incredible collection I have ever seen in a museum, it includes the legendary Tyrannosaurus Rex. Another dinosaur that steals the show is the Allosarus. This incredible carnivore is not from the Cretaceous like most of the famous Jurassic park dinosaurs, but is indeed from the Jurassic, where it was the largest carnivorous predator. It has a room for the solo since it was the first dinosaur fossil exposed in Japan (1964).
Leaving the museum, I returned to the beginning of the route through another area that I visit frequently, past Akihabara and Kōkyo. Having time Tokyo is a city full of things to travel everywhere by train.
