🚩 Located at Kota Belud, Sabah
🚩 Level of Difficulty: Moderate 5/10
🚩 Start and ended at same trail head
🚩 Weather: Sunny
🚩 Out & back day hike 8.86 KM in 8 hours
Extra Information:
✴️ Rank #:8 in Malaysia (G8)
✴️ Stay 1 night at Sub Station Sayap campsite and start hiking the next day at 4am
✴️ Bring 1 litre of water and snacks
✴️ No specific check point along the trail, direct hike up till summit
✴️ Normal pace 4 hours ascend and 4 hours descend.
✴️ A must detour to Kemantis waterfall, but beware of leeches
Initerary:
🔹Day 01: Monday, 28 November 2022🔹
Transferred by private car at Kota Kinabalu to Sub Station Sayap at Kota Belud
▪️It took 4 hours driving to reach here.
▫️Overnight here. Set up our tent and prepare for dinner
▪️Nice campsite with basic facilities: washroom for shower, kitchen and ranger office. Water supply available. River beside campsite
🔹Day 02: Tuesday, 29 November 2022 🔹
Trail head ➡️ Summit ➡️ Trail Head. Back to KK town
▪️ Wake up at 0300 hrs and prepare for hiking.
▫️ Ascending at 0419 hrs and reached Summit by 0744 hrs. About 3.5 hrs to reach summit
▪️No view at summit
▫️Spend 1 hour here and descending back to trail head
▪️After shower and lunch, drove back to Kota Kinabalu town
Side Note:
🔸🔸Bring your own tent. For comfortability bring pillow and sleeping bag. Weather cold at night
🔸🔸 Prepare and bring your own dinner, breakfast and lunch. No food available here. Can tapao at Kota Belud town
