Departure with motorcycle from Tawamangu with motorcycle for 30,000.
Ascent from the normal route where it is a pretty good road of cobblestones. It is the 3 thousand easiest in Indonesia. The climb is constant, although the change in pressure and the difference in altitude of 1,500 m in 6.7 km are noted. You have to pay 3000 at the entrance and register the name and the number of people who go up.
Down the other road where it is a little longer because the road zigzags. So the slope is less. Better for the descent since between these zigzag trails there are some channels where you can shorten. If you like the channels for that is yours. Way much more attractive than the one of ascent, it is more footpath and with more vegetation.
It ends in another position where you can hire a motorcycle to return to Tawamangu for 25,000.
The local people go up from 8:22 pm to watch the sun rise around 6:30. Or they camp in the middle of the mountain and get up early to watch the sun rise.
