Itinerary description

Ascension to the Gunsight Mountain. By road stop on the Squaw Creek Access Trail, a few miles before the Matanuska Glacier. The road leaves the parking lot directly. The ascent is initially on paths that are trampled by quads, but quickly reaches the ridge, the paths are abandoned and the path goes up. There is some stumbling stroke on the way. The views say that they are spectacular, although we were not lucky we had a lot of fog. The descent opened a bit and we enjoyed the views. On the ascent we saw a Caribou.
