Itinerary description
This is a 16 mile loop starting from the Cosby Campground:
Cosby Campground - Low Gap Trail - Appalachian Trail - Camel Gap Trail - Big Creek Trail - Low Gap Trail - Cosby Campground
The climbs up Low Gap both at the front end of the hike (Cosby to AT) and the back end of the hike (Big Creek to AT) are challenging/steep, but the rest of the day was mostly flats & downs.
16.15 miles, 4160 foot elevation gain
