Itinerary description

This hike can be split into two shorter hikes. The first part takes you to the beautiful and popular Vrelo lake and waterfall near the Planinarski Dom, before a fairly steep ascent to two viewpoints. When you get to the sign pointing to each, go right first, then come back and go left, as the viewpoint on the left has a trail that takes you onwards. The trail markings for this part of the hike are not as good as they should be.

From the second viewpoint you will descend more gently down and join the 'Staza 3' hike which is a 7 km loop to the peak Mali Javorak. By contrast, this is a quiet hike with a well-marked trail going through beautiful forest and woodland with some nice views at the top.

There is no mobile reception for most of this hike, including at the carpark where you start. At the viewpoints you can just get a signal.

If you wish to follow this route, please download it before arriving so that you can follow it offline. We didn't do this and were unable to find the Staza 3 trailhead at the Planinarski Dom, so that's how we ended up doing this combo hike, which was actually better - even if for the first half of the hike we didn't really know where we were...

You may find a few local dogs joining you for the hike. They are harmless. Happy hiking!

Then come back and go to the one on the left ... This is the opposite way to how we did it, but it is better.

If you don't want to continue further here, you can go back to the Planinarski Dom - or you can start around here and just do the 'Staza 3' hike.

Lovely route. We met, probably the same, very friendly, long haired, black dog. He came from nowhere and suprised us from the back, so be prepared for that suprise, don't be afraid and bring some food for him:)

I have followed this trail  verified  View more

Staza dosta zarasla u travu, markacije nisu svuda jasno uočljive, drveće sa putokazima posečeno. Staza u pojedinim delovima ume da bide teža za praćenje.
