Itinerary description
This track is the complete recorded track of a self navigated and self-sufficient 4 Day Hike through the Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Area.
Please view the individual Day's on our profile for each Day's details. The waypoint on this track is where we wild camped 50 metres from a water source as we had no where else to camp in this section of the reserve. The start and finish of this complete track is the parking area below the reception which is the most north-westerly point of this track.
This trail is difficult and no mobile phone reception is available anywhere at time of hiking. The trail is extremely remote, yet incredibly beautiful and technical underfoot.
