Itinerary description
Short circular track starting from a big carpark next to Groeneveld castle, which makes it ideal to combine a walk with a visit to the castle / manor.
Although it's interesting to go and look inside to get an idea of the place, there's not all that much to see, even though it's impressive, especially the xylothek in the linen room.
There are also some stately rooms with temporary exhibitions.
Easy, relaxed walk in great surroundings. On your way you come across woodland, open landscapes, a parklike setting with ponds near the country manor, the Ravenstein farmstead, an ox stable, imposing trees and a mix of broad treelined paths and narrow, winding tracks, especially around the brooks area.
On the Groeneveld estate you'll find benches to take a break or relax, but thi is not the case in the Hoge Vuursche part of this track.
