Itinerary description
This walk shows you the two faces of this village: the dune area (Amsterdamse Waterleiding duinen) and the landscape behind the dunes.
Especially during the bulb field season this may be attractive, getting the best of both worlds.
On the track you pass Vogelenzang on your hand side which you can easily reach via Kerkpad, see the picture. Then follows, on your left hand side, Huis te Vogelenzang, a beautiful estate in its own gardens.
An alternative to this track is turning left near a cross roads. It seems private property but foot passengers are allowed, no cars though. Just following the paths you automatically return to this track at the end of the estate.
One word of warning, be prepared for some traffic noise for the first few kilometers as part of the walk is next to roads (which are hidden until you take your first turn to the right). Once you start on the cycle path it gets quieter.
After entering Panneland all noise is behind you.
