Itinerary description

Castellano (English below):

English:

We started from Grindelwald. There are several parking in that town. We parked in the one of Eiger mall where the turist information is (there is another turist info next to it which is only in japanese so you know what to expect there). It's 2.50 CHF / hour till a max of 25 CHF / day. However, whn we asked we were told to go and park in another parking wher we actually started the hike. It's not covered but we paid 7 CHF for 10 hours and you can park up to 3 days.

The path is a mountain trail that goes through the forest, so at some points there is lots of shadow. At the very beggining it's quite steep so be ready otherwise you will be surprised.
The Aellfluh restaurant was closed (it was a Saturday in summer time at noon so not sure if it will be opened at any time during the year). However, the one in Waldspitz was opened.

There is a fork to go to Bachalpsee (Blumenpfad - in german primrose path). This way is a little bit longer but more relaxing, in a wider path and going up all time but almost flat. The other one (the one we took) it's a bit more of a mountain trail, although it's also quite easy.

From Bachalpsee you keep on going up till Faulhorn, even though the path is wide and it's ok. You will find animals in the way, lots of vegetation and also many people going up and gown the same trail. Before arriving to the summit you need to pass Burgihütte hut. It's nothing special but if the weather is bad you can cover yourself there for a bit.
Before facing the final section there is another fork to go up or keep on doing the tour. It's another 25 minutes from there (Gassenboden) that you will need to go back after although it's totally worth it.
Up in Faulhorn there is a resutaurant, WC, hostel and very good views from Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and to the other side Interlaken and the valley (if it's not cloudy or foggy...). There is people who actually stays overnight to see the sunrise or sunset (https://www.faulhorn.ch/en/home).

The way back; as always; was using a different way. It's quite long and some parts of it are walking in a road, wide paths, everything quite achievable.

The hike is easy but long, and tere is an elevation gain of more than 1700 m, so I wouldn't recommend it for kids. The whole trail is very well marked from the beggining to the very end. Also, ever single moment you can enjoy breathtaking views as you can see in the pictures. The only thing you need is the weather to be a bit good.
There is the chance to go up or down from First by cable car avoiding half of the hike (https://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/grindelwaldfirst/).

To take into account that the timings in the signs; without going fast; we did it quite faster that it states, roughly 25% less. Even with stops, rest, pictures, etc. the final time was less that the one showed there. On the other hand, in the way down and without stops, we match exactly the time.

I have followed this trail  verified  View more

Very nice trail with lots to see: nice waterfalls, beautiful lake, the Jungfraujoch, etc. Also marmots could be seen during the hike. The trail is not too difficult. Only some parts on the way back on a bit wet stones was more challenging.
