Itinerary description
Mid difficulty hike covering 4 summits:
- Greystones walk
- Little sugarloaf
- Big sugarloaf
- Djouce
Hike details:
Start in Bray beach-walk.
For first summit, head up the cross in Greystones and traverse the entire walk until you get off the mountain besides the Bray Golf course.
For second summit (Little sugarloaf) go straight to the summit via small roads and make shift paths (check gps route). Once you reach the summit of little sugarloaf head down to Kilmacanoge, again via some dirt roads and makeshift paths that cross some private fields (you might need to jump some fences).
For third summit (Large sugarloaf) head up the mountain from Kilmacanoge via the direct route to summit (see gps track) or optionally you could use the other routes that go around the little hil. Once in sugarloaf summit, come down the mountain via the south-west route and head down to Djouce woods.
For fourth summit (Djouce), cross the Djouce woods on the south side, and then you’ll find a dirt road that takes you all the way up behind powerscourt waterfall. On that valley behind just head up the mountain via the marked way.
Once down in ending in Djouce summit.
We camped in Glesoulan Valley on the way down.
