Itinerary description
Gresswell - Mt Cooper - Darebin Creek - M80 - Watsonia Loop
This includes:
- Gresswell Forest Nature Reserve
- Bundoora Park
- Mt Cooper (132 metres, a very gentle climb but with good views at the top)
- Darebin Creek Trail
- Western Ring Road Trail
- Greensborough Bypass Trail
- Watsonia Train Station and Shops
It's not ideal the parts next to a motorway but perhaps not as bad as you may think, the trail is very separated. But perhaps put your headphones in if road noise irritates you.
The trail a can also be started from Watsonia train station.
About 5 percent in a forest, the rest is mainly shared bike / foot path.

This is a forest nestled within the Greensborough, Bundoora suburbs. Before I found this I never knew it was ever there and its quite expansive. There is also an adjacent wildlife reserve. I suggest you go and take a relaxing hike here. Its a great place to hike alone or with your family-friends.
