Itinerary description
A nice variety of terrains including rocky canyons, deep ponderosa/fir forests, some open ridges and small meadows. The canyon can be a good spot for birding - saw my first Western Tanager of the season. The trail is rough in places with some rocky scrambles, but they are going to do some improvements on it this summer. Hiked May 17, 2009.
