Itinerary description
This is an easy trail, mainly level and through woodland. There are ticks in the woods and, in places, poison ivy borders the trail but the trail is wide enough that, being careful, I've not worried about either. Though I've marked the trail as easy there are some sections with exposed roots or rocks that call for care where you step.
Greenough Land is town conservation land set aside by Carlisle, Massachusetts. The town describes the Greenough Land at this webpage:
https://carlislema.gov/279/Greenough-Land
This trail does NOT cross over onto the adjoining national wildlife refuge allowing the trail to be walked with dogs. It does pass through a small portion of land in Billerica owned by a land trust.
Both parking lots mentioned in the webpage are difficult to see from the main road; both are unpaved. The one waypointed is the larger one, maybe holding 10 cars.
