Itinerary description
Day hike to Green Lakes. No snow at trailhead at 5100 ft. Hit the first snow at about 5600 ft, and by the time we reached Green Lakes at 6200 ft there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground. Overcast, but clear enough to see South Sister and Broken Top. We had the trail to ourselves on the way up, but encountered a half-dozen other hikers on the way down.
