Itinerary description
Loop around the hill to the summit. You can either start the Sugarloaf Loop at either Kilmacanogue GAA pitch or at the car park on Red Lane. Add another kilometer to your walk if your starting from Red Lane.
The length of this loop walk makes it more challenging than the short walk to the summit and there are a few more rugged quartzite slopes, but the gradients aren’t too different and the rocky scramble at the summit is still the same.
