Itinerary description
Excellent walk through rambling Essex countryside passing two fine pubs. Park beside the American War memorial in Great Notley. The pubs are roughly five miles from the end in either direction. The Square and Compasses at Fuller Street has only one real ale but it comes straight from the barrel. Food is first class if a little expensive. The Cross Keys at White Notley has four real ales, a helpful landlord and by far the best liver and bacon I've ever tasted. Enjoy.
