Itinerary description
Take the 9 o'clock bus to Great Meteora, and hike down. Until Kastraki, it is in the woods. The last part to Kalampaka is paved road. Not so interesting, but you could make a stop for lunch in one of the taverns at the little village Kastraki that you'll pass (not for vegans, though).

In the monasteries, you can refill your waterbottle, so taking a small bottle with you is enough.
