Itinerary description
What a nice and a bit dangerous hiking. :) Steg lake on 1300m in an alpine valley is a starting point - a very beautiful spot, good for camping. Lake water is chilly even in summer. For the first few kilometers, the terrain is flat. Then it starts rock n roll. You get a steep uphill, all the way to the first peak - Lower Grauspitz (the second highest in Liechtenstein). From here to the highest peak, Upper Grauspitz (2599m), the terrain is really dangerous, so you have to be extra careful! The fact that there is not an official/marked trail all the way to the top, speaks for itself. However, experienced hikers in dry conditions can make it easy. Do not go there if there is fog/mist/rain!
