Itinerary description
Loop trail to the East of Grasmere village, (nearly) all weather version avoiding path across field that may be flooded in wet weather.
Start in village centre, walk southeast along B5287 past the church and the school. Turn left into the car park and keep close to the fence on the left hand side. This leads into a footpath. At the junction continue straight on across the field of it is dry but if the path is flooded or waterlogged turn right. This path has a gravel surface and it may have some deep puddles in very wet weather. Continue to join A591 which has a tarmac footway. Turn left along A591 then take the second footpath on the left back to Grasmere village.
