Itinerary description
From Grasmere Village to Travellers Rest, can take bus to/from Winterseeds to shorten the walk by 1.5 km at each end. Walk up bridleway signposted to Patterdale then take right fork path above Tongue Gill. Waterfall on Tongue Gill is impressive in wet weather or when frozen. Continue to Grizedale Hause. Possible extension to Fairfield. Return same way. Footpath from A591 to Grasmere village avoids road with no pavement.
