Itinerary description
A beautiful path leading to the Chapel at the summit of Agios Pavlos (saint Paul). We start from Greek orthodox summer camp of Granites. After a while we are all astonished by the size and stone building mastery of a never completed tuberculosis hospital. It was built in 1938 but it was poorly planned poorly executed. There were some thoughts of using the building as a conference centre. We leave the dirtroad and continue along the path. There is constant ascent until we reach open land out of the forest. During October is the right time to pick ripe and succulent granberries. Furthermore we continue walking along the Ridge towards the summit. Take care of some vicious dogs of a local Shepherd.
