Itinerary description
Hike from Squaw Valley to the summits of Granite Chief mountain, Needle Peak, and Lyon Peak via the Granite Chief Trail and a section of the Pacific Crest Trail. All three peaks are on the Tahoe OGUL Peak List. Tahoe National Forest, California, USA. Class 2 rough cross-country to Needle Peak and Lyon Peak, 'easy' Class 3 climb to the top of Needle Peak's summit block.
