Itinerary description
Demarché – Plateau Concorde – Absalón (Martinica)
Distancia: 9 km (solo ida)
Desnivel: +200; -460 m.
Tiempo: 5 horas.
Dificultad: Moderada.
Fecha de realización: 4-12-2016.
Descripción: El inicio se encuentra en Grand Fond (Case Pilote), sobre la D63, una vez pasados los Altos de Maniba. Hay un panel que lo indica. Conviene no sobrepasar con el coche el panel, descendiendo a Grand Fond, pues luego la pendiente es pronunciada y puede costar trabajo superarla con el coche. Este recorrido supone la unión de dos rutas señalizadas (las conocidas como números 2 y 10 en muchos catálogos). Aproximadamente a los 4,5 km del inicio se enlaza con la circular de Absalón, terminando en la estación termal. El recorrido es espectacular, con una vegetación exuberante que proporciona abundante sombra y un suelo alfombrado de grandes raíces. Desde la cota más alta y entre los arboles puede verse en los días despejados la isla de Santa Lucía.

Wonderful and fantastic. We took a taxi collect from Fort de France (3 €) (to Bellefountain) and walked from the junction N2 / D63 up the hill.
The walk us wonderful and shady. We missed the left turn at the last km and took an shortcut. Only needed 2 hours.

At the end we followed the river downhill on an easy descend well maintained. So add 45 minutes. Then there's even more: an adventures time and climb (!) to an hidden waterfall. I upload the track on wikiloc. If you still have the power, go for it.
