Itinerary description
Hike at Parco Nazionale di Gran Sasso D’Italia.
Ascent to Corno Grande following the ‘Via Nórmale’ starting from Campo Imperatore. Looping it with stops at the tomb of Edoardo Martinori and Rifugio Garibaldi, ascent to Monte Aquila and a stop at Rifugio Duca Degli Abruzzi before descending back to Campo Imperatore.
Categorized as difficult just due to the distance and elevation gain. Need to put some extra attention when descending from Corno Grande summit, but it’s fairly easy on good weather conditions.
