GR5 Spa - Nice, Etappe 51: Les Hôpitaux-Neufs - Mouthe

In 2022 we’ve hiked from Heerlen to Nice. In Spa we reached the GR5 and followed this trail most of the way to Saint-Dalmas. From there we followed parts of the GR52.
In our stages you see the exact route we hiked, from sleeping place to sleeping place, via beautiful spots to take a break and with some detours.

Hike over the high parts of the French Jura. From Les Hôpitaux-Neufs the route climbs fairly quickly over a ski area, that’s in summer is used by mountain bikers to practice their skills. Then a beautiful stretch along imposing rock walls brings you to Mont d'Or at 1463 meters. Then the route descends slowly over beautiful meadows to the source of the Doubs in Mouthe.

In 2022 hebben wij een trektocht van Heerlen naar Nice gemaakt. In Spa hebben we de GR5 opgepakt en deze grotendeels gevolgd tot Saint-Dalmas. Van daaruit hebben we een stuk de GR52 gevolgd.
In onze etappes zie je hoe wij zijn gelopen, van slaapplek naar slaapplek via mooie pauzeplekjes en met de nodige omleidingen.

Wandeling over de hoge delen van de Franse Jura. De route klimt vanuit Les Hôpitaux-Neufs vrij snel over een skigebied die in de zomer door mountainbikers gebruikt word voor hun kunsten. Daarna volgt een mooi stuk langs imposante rotswanden naar Mont d'Or op 1463 meter. Vervolgens daalt de route langzaam over mooie weiden naar de bron van de Doubs bij Mouthe.
