Itinerary description
This stage is part of 93 stages we’ve hiked from Heerlen in the Netherlands to Nice in the south of France. We did this amazing thru-hike in 2022. Beautiful stage through the forests of the Vosges Mountains with magnificent views on the mountains. The hike initially goes from Saint-Quirin to Abreschviller where there is an opportunity to do some shopping. Then the route leads into the forest, to climb to the top of the Donon at almost 1000 meters. From here it’s a small descend to Col du Donon.

Deze etappe maakt deel uit van 93 etappes die we van Heerlen naar Nice in Zuid-Frankrijk hebben gewandeld. We maakten deze geweldige tocht in 2022. Mooie etappe door de bossen van de Vogezen met schitterende uitzichten over de bergen. De wandeling loopt in het begin van Saint-Quirin naar Abreschviller waar een mogelijkheid is om wat inkopen te doen. Daarna duikt de route al snel het bos in om te klimmen naar bijna 1000 meter op de top van Donon om daarna wat te dalen naar de Col du Donon.
