Itinerary description
This stage is part of 93 stages we’ve hiked from Heerlen in the Netherlands to Nice in the south of France. We did this amazing thru-hike in 2022. Short trail, but due to two tough stretches of ascent and descent, still a tough hike. The route soon enters the forest and later arrives at a beautiful piece of moorland. At the end, the trail descends through a nice little tunnel into the picturesque village of Stavelot.

Deze etappe maakt deel uit van 93 etappes die we van Heerlen naar Nice in Zuid-Frankrijk hebben gewandeld. We maakten deze geweldige tocht in 2022. De meeste etappes hebben we de GR5 gevolgd en we hebben elke etappe gedocumenteerd. Voor foto's en verhalen van elke etappe en onze andere wandelavonturen bezoek: https://hike5.com/
Korte route, maar door twee pittige stukken stijgen en dalen toch wel een stevige wandeling. De route gaat meteen de bossen in en komt al vrij snel op een mooi stuk veengebied. Aan het einde daalt de route via een leuk tunneltje het pittoreske dorpje Stavelot in.
