Itinerary description

I loved this hike contrary to my companion.

Most of the trail is inside the forest.
It doesn't have amazing sceneries but still I have enjoyed it.

It is complicated to explain the difficulty. I'm a seasoned hiker and I would describe it as an easy hike but my wife complained about some sections where the forest gets thick and prickly. Anyways, it is good to wear trousers to avoid scratches.

I was surprised there are not many people who took this trail on Wikiloc but then I understood why some people would not recommend it: I was doing the hike with my beautiful wife. She didn't like it at all, and found it hard to walk as there are many fallen trees that have blocked the road and too much thick vegetation on some sections. For me, I have a completely different perception as I have really enjoyed and liked the trail.

So... not sure whether to recommend it or not. Best way is to try it for yourself and let us know.

We had a hard hike, but it was worth. It was hard maybe because we started at 11 am with the super hot Turkish sun shining.
If I had known, I would have started from the canyon - I would have saved a few stupid kilometers from Göynük and saved myself.
    Thank you.

I'm not a super-experienced hiker; this trail is one of my first 10. To be honest, can't say it was easy or exciting: not so many good views to see, but certainly lots of thick and spiky vegetation and slippery descents to deal with. There were many areas which I'm not sure I can even call a trail, since there was nothing which resembles a road. Wayfinding marks from previous hikers were very useful in some places, but extremely hard to find and follow in others: download the route and be very attentive in rocky areas and in the end of the trail if you don't want to get lost (you don't). And, as I said, there're not so many views that are worth it. Which is unexpectedly sad — the canyon you pass by before the exact trail start is very picturesque
Despite all the things said, if I had better clothing (and lower expectations), I could've enjoyed the trail as some sort of meditation. If you're seeking for this, you may enjoy it
