Itinerary description
Excursió familiar a les fantàstiques gorges de Vintgar. Es comença prop el poble de Podhom, i es comença seguint l'itinerari propi de les gorges. Al final de tot es remunta cap el SE fins l'ermita de Sveta Katerina. D'aquí es pren un camí que flanqueja (i no puja al cim de Hom) fins el lloc on es comença la visita turística de les gorges, tenint en tot moment bones vistes sobre la vall. El camí, com sempre, fàcil i molt ben marcat.

A nice and easy track in a very beautiful and special area.
I just come to warn that to make the first 1/3 of the track, the most beautiful walking along the river, we have to pay 4 euros of entrance in the trail.
The way have some signs but it's a good idea to take the gps always on after we leave the river.

een prachtige wandeling, met 3 verschillende landschappen, eerst het gedeelte langs het water: mooi, dan het deel door het woud: prachtig, dan het gedeelte door de weiden met koeien: avontuurlijk, na elk deel is er de mogelijkheid om iets te drinken, we hebben erg genoten van deze tocht, heel erg bedankt!

The Vintgar gorge is beautiful but quite a lot people if you go there in the main season. But as soon as you hit right in the direction to St. Katarina church (instead of turning back like everyone else), the trail gets practically empty and the views are great!

Muy bonito, imprescidible.
Una ruta excelente y espectacular en un entorno rodeado de bosque. La gente de Eslovenia trata su país con esmero, nada de suciedad en la ruta, ni destrozos en el entorno ni en la pasarela.
Cuando pasas el primer puente (yo la hice lineal, siguiendo primero cauce abajo y después remontarlo de regreso), lo que destaca en el paisaje es el espectacular ruido del río (sobre todo si ha llovido como me pasó a mí), así como la pasarela de madera que, en algunos tramos sobresale de la pared.
Ya sé que en cuanto a profundidad, rutas como la del Cares o el Caminito del Rey la superan, pero merece la pena ir y recorrer unos parajes en los que destaca el verde, justo en los Alpes Julianos.
En cuanto a la gente de allí, a destacar su amabilidad.
