Itinerary description
We hiked up to Gorakhgad in Nov 2021. I referred to apurva’s trail.
Pune to Dehri drive was better than expected. Starting at 4:30am, it took under 3.5 hr. Karjat to Dehri Road of 40km was much better than what I remembered from our naneghat hike three years ago. There are still bad patches, and you have to be careful.
Hike till the base of the pinnacle is not too difficult. Climbing the pinnacle, especially the third level to the top, however is not for the faint of heart.
As usual, take 2ltr water per person and sufficient food. When sun is up while returning, going gets tough.
Note: Notice slight offset in the trail marking and the actual pinnacle top. Secondly, I turned off the recording little late. So ignore the road part. Thirdly, I think the recorder does not detect gps motion while climbing vertical steps. Therefore moving time is most likely undercounted.
