RECOMMENDATIONS:
Wikiloc is a land navigation tool that helps us orient ourselves by digitally recording our journey in a global positioning system "GPS". It is recommended to have basic knowledge, perform location, orientation and navigation practices with analog instruments that do not depend on batteries, such as compass, altimeter among others, it is important to physically carry a map of the area to be traveled, locating escape routes, trails and nearby roads in case of loss. It is important to pay attention to signs such as monkeys, stone on stone, slats on the trails, have common sense to resolve situations out of control, carry a flashlight with new batteries in your backpack, a thermal blanket, a personal first aid kit with painkillers, extra energy, etc. such as powdered electrolytes, a filter to clean any cloudy water that may be found and drink in case of running out of liquid reserves.
Having the route on our cell phone or GPS does not guarantee that we will not get lost; but it can help us find our way again.
In the event of an accident or loss, it is recommended to immediately involve the corresponding authorities by calling 911 or having the local Civil Protection telephone numbers of each entity. If you do not have a telephone signal in the area, prepare yourself physically and psychologically to return or separate from the group in search of help and return to the site, do not try to solve it alone, there are serious risks and sometimes loss of life.
Try to tell family or acquaintances where we will go, who we will go with, with the main details of the journey and itinerary before venturing out.

Spending one of the coldest nights in our lives, Gorakshep is a truly chilling place, well let me clarify in the season that we had to visit the Himalayas, we began the ascent at 6:50 am, we followed the route established by the mountaineers It really is a canyon to walk at this altitude, but what really marked the difficulty was the tremendous icy wind that greeted us in all directions, I didn't understand how we managed to climb, they are places and climates that we are not used to, apparently the simple desire Knowing and seeing the mother of the "Chomolunga" mountains motivated us to continue with this project. Upon reaching the first step we observed that two helicopters arrived with tourists who were observing the beautiful landscapes of this area. They stayed for a period of no more than ten minutes and they left in the direction of Lukla, we hydrated and ate something that would help us increase blood sugar to keep us energized, but parking for more than five minutes in this area meant staying frozen for centuries, so we spent climbing Mount Kalapather at a slow pace, very slowly since the mountain sickness was lurking in both bodies mentally hypnotized like zombies from getting to know the great mountain, the snow was beginning to crystallize and harden, we were looking for places where we could walk, there is no here path or path, you climb wherever is comfortable and safe, when we reached 5600 meters of altitude we could no longer walk on the snow, we did not wear crampons, we began to climb a ridge of rocks and there we stepped, at 9:20 hours we reached the summit of Mount Kalapather and it was here where we saw for the first time the great mountain Chomolunga, "Mount Everest" we quickly congratulated each other, we hugged each other, we got excited, in short a series of emotions that crossed us at that moment , a really very exciting moment, another couple of mountaineers arrived behind us and greeted us, they did us the favor of capturing a fantastic postcard with the great mountain in the background, my wife Lucy and a server together on Mount Kalapather at 5648 meters above sea level, We made a small stone sculpture with the flag of our Mexico, the freezing wind did not stop, we decided to start going down and on the way a high mountain breed Nepalese dog accompanied us on the way back, a rescue gesture that this dog showed, We arrive at the frozen lake of Gorakshep and cross it to enjoy a well-deserved breakfast in the Himalayas, highly recommended, with this journey barely half of the EBC-2023 project is completed.
