Itinerary description

The trail starts at the end of the Coyote parking lot of the Taos Ski Valley. It's all pretty straightforward. First climb up part of the Bull-in-the-Woods trail then go left on the Long Canyon Trail, and finally switch to the Gold Hill trail. There's just one tricky spot while walking on Long Canyon Trail with the Arroyo Hondo flowing close to your left. There seems to be a flat looking trail going straight, following the river, and another one going right and rather steep uphill. It's the one to the right. The hike is one long climb towards Gold Hill with quite some steep sections. But the 360 degree vistas on top of Gold Hill are quite a reward.
