Once in Gokyo do not miss the route that takes you to the feet of Cho Oyu on the Nepalese side. The route is simple regardless of the difficulty that the altitude or the weather may impose. Paying your respects to this great one is an opportunity not to be missed. Normally the route is organized outside of this route. Only the most attentive guides take you there. The surroundings are overshadowed by the climb to Gokyo Ri and the exit to Cho La Pass. Walking on these giant glaciers, moving under your feet is a feeling difficult to find elsewhere.
