Itinerary description
This route is located in the south west part of Iceland (you need to take road 47 before Grundartangi if you're coming from the north), and it will allow you to discover the Glymur Waterfall, maybe one of the most exciting waterfalls you can find in this amazing country.
The trail is good and properly marked, at the beginning of the path you will find many different routes you can take, depending on your physical condition and hiking expertise.
This track crosses the river twice, in the first one there's a wire and a trunk that can help you cross it easily.
To complete the route (if you don't want to track back) you will have to cross the river after the waterfall, it's not difficult but the water is really cold! You need to be aware of the real river flow in that moment, in my case (mid August) it was safe to cross it but it might depend on the season.
I recommend bringing spare socks and a towel :-)

Saludos!
