Of those routes that you do because they recommend them and when you have finished them you think ... luckily they recommended it to me.
I started walking from the visitor center of the natural park, € 4, in all the information it indicates that the 1st parking is free, it is not, but it is worth it, I assure you.
Leaving the parking lot you will find the old Glendalough Cathedral with its cemetery, a recommended visit.
We continue along the Green Road Walk, up to the great Upper Lac lake, here are "a thousand" directions to follow, I was sure to take the longest one, to the left, it did not disappoint me.
After an important climb, when you crown the mountain, you go flat, leaving the valley and the lake on your right, the impressive views.
When you start to go down you cross a bridge over a river dyed red, they say because of the amount of iron that its waters contain.
Going down comfortably along a shady path you will arrive at the starting junction, from where I am writing.
It is impossible to get lost, everything is very well indicated and the path will surprise you, but I do not spoil it, visit it.
Now to the car that starts to rain.
😉
