Very beautifull scenery but we couldn't find the so called sheep track. It is just going up mountain without real path so we decided to quit.
This route is drawn on a map. Both the ascent and the descent are not real paths. DO NOT TRY TO FOLLOW THEM!
The scenery is very nice and the idea of climbing north of Eagle's Rock and descending to Lough Glenade sounds very nice. Descent way can be found in https://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=19114801 but didn't have time to explore a way up.
In https://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/view.do?id=19115126 you can also find a way to go to Eagle's Rock from the visitor's parking following a route published by the Irish Times.
BIt of a rough Trail but spectacular Mordor type scenery once you are up and round the base of Eagles Rock. We climbed Eagles Rock in 2012, http://uniqueascent.ie/sp/directory/details/eagles-rock-leitrim. The trail round the base does not really exist in it is a steep bouldery scramble for the main part.
