Itinerary description
Nemërçka is the second highest mountain in southern Albania (2.485 m). It is a mountain destination that requires physical skills. Hikers should depart in the early hours of the morning from the village of Gjinkar accompanied by a local guide. The trail slopes up gently to a shepherd's hut, and then follows the path of the road, which is clearly visible. Nemërçka’s entrance offers a panoramic view of the entire area, which is breathtaking. From this point, the road is 1.400 meters long. Along the pathway, stone watering holes (stan) created by shepherds for local livestock can be found. The road begins to become difficult at 2.000 m altitude, but the orientation to the top of Paping summit is simple.
