Itinerary description

Girraweeen National Park (35km south of Stanthorpe), has three main hiking tracks from the Information Centre/ Camping area. The "Northern Tracks" are 11km return (5 hours) and take you to The Pyramid, Granite Arch and The Junction on Bald Rock Creek. When you enter this area you will soon realize why its part of the "Granite Belt" as there are huge granite boulders strewn across the hilly landscape. On this section youll climb up 250m of very steep track to the summit of the Pyramid where the views are incredible. From there you work your way down to a wide, rocky creekline to the Junction.
